Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions contain legal obligations. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the website http://swocamps.ca or any Scouts Canada property owned or managed by Tri-Shores or Battlefields Council, Scouts Canada.

  1. General
    1. If you are booking on behalf of an organization, you must have permission to make a booking, and:
      1. You warrant that you have the legal authority to bind your organization to these Terms and Conditions,
      2. You agree that if the organization you represent violates these Terms and Conditions, we may hold you responsible for that violation.
    2. We try to keep swocamps.ca up, bug-free but you use it at your own risk. We are providing swocamps.ca as is without any express or implied warranties including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that http://swocamps.ca will always be secure, error-free, or that http://swocamps.ca will always function without disruptions, delays or imperfections.
  2. Accounts
    1. You will not provide any false information or create an account for anyone other than yourself.
    2. You will not create more than one account.
    3. If we disable your account, you will not create another one without our permission.
    4. You will not transfer your account to anyone without first getting our written permission. If permission is given, we may assist you with moving any bookings to the new account.
    5. Account Email Confirmation. Each account will be cancelled automatically after forty-eight (48) hours if the account holder does not verify his or her email. To verify an email address, one must click the verification link in an email sent immediately after an account is created.
    6. Security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, and you understand that you will be charged for any bookings placed on or through your account.
  3. Site Use
    1. You are responsible for compliance with our camp or facility rules when you or your organization enters onto said property.
    2. You may be asked to provide a cleaning deposit to the Camp Ranger on-site.
    3. We expect you to leave the property or facilities in the same condition as found. Otherwise, the cleaning deposit may be kept and/or a greater cleaning fee may be charged. A good Scouter always leaves things better than they found them.
  4. Camp Booking Cancellation Policy
    1. Please review our Cancellation Policy.
  5. Fee Structure, Invoicing, and Payments
    1. All prices mentioned on http://swocamps.ca are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.
  6. Amendments
    1. Unless we make a change for legal or administrative reasons, or to correct an inaccurate statement, we will provide you with seven (7) days' notice (for example, by posting the change on our website).
    2. If we make changes to policies referenced in or incorporated by these Terms and Conditions, we may provide notice on our website.
    3. Your continued use of our property and/or facilities, following changes to our terms, constitutes your acceptance of our amended terms.
  7. Definitions
    1. References to "us," "we," and "our" mean Scouts Canada.
    2. "Site" refers to a physical portion of either our property or facilities which is designated as a unit of rentable space.
    3. "Non-Scouting" refers to any and all organizations which are not considered under our Bylaws, Policies and Procedures to be members of Scouts Canada.
    4. "MyScouts" refers to Scouts Canada's associate management system.
  8. Other
    1. These Terms and Conditions makes up the entire agreement between the parties regarding the use of Scouts Canada properties owned or managed by Tri-Shores or Battlefields Council, Scouts Canada, and supersedes any prior agreements.
    2. You will abide by Scouts Canada's bylaws, policies and procedures.
    3. You consent to have your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.
    4. If any portion of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable, the remaining portion will remain in full force and effect.
    5. If we fail to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions, it will not be considered a waiver.
    6. Any amendment to or waiver of these Terms and Conditions must be made in writing and signed by us.
    7. You will not transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions to anyone else without our consent.
    8. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall prevent us from complying with the law.
    9. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.
